Crispiano – Contrada Orimini
A few kilometers from Martina Franca, we offer for sale an ancient masseria located within the Terra delle Gravine Regional Park, in the area known as the “Hundred Masserie” of Crispiano, along the historic road that once connected Martina Franca to Taranto through the Orimini Forest. The property is surrounded by Mediterranean scrub typical of the Valle d’Itria, in a natural setting of significant environmental value, characterized by rich and spontaneous native vegetation. The site has been inhabited since prehistoric times and during the early settlements of Magna Graecia. The structure represents a rare example of Apulian rural architecture predating the more famous trulli, with origins dating back to the 14th–15th century. The buildings feature rectangular layouts, solid volumes and steep double–pitched roofs, constructed in dry stone with traditional “chiancarelle” roof tiles and local stone walls. The complex includes a residential rural building, two large stables and a former oven building, for a total surface area of approximately 400 sqm. There is an internal courtyard enclosed by dry-stone walls with a large stone entrance gate, as well as an external stone “jazzo”. The property is completed by approximately 21 hectares of land including olive groves, pasture and Mediterranean woodland.
Thanks to its location, size and historical-architectural value, the masseria is suitable both as a prestigious private residence and as a high-level hospitality project, with strong potential for enhancement while preserving its original identity.
